My name is Elena Phelps, and I am the proud founder of The Village. As a mother of two wonderful boys, Jonny & Charlie, I understand the challenges of navigating motherhood without a support system. When my first child was born, I found myself feeling uncertain and anxious without any close family or friends with children nearby. However, I was fortunate enough to discover a mommy & me group in Hermosa Beach, CA, that became my lifeline to sanity. Even after moving away, I remain incredibly close to those mothers. When I moved to North County San Diego and became pregnant with our second, to my surprise, I realized similar groups do not exist here. Therefore, I decided to create The Village. I've collaborated with many professionals, including doulas, pelvic floor specialists, and sleep consultants, to create a program that supports and inspires mothers through all the ups and downs of motherhood. Utilizing my background in psychology, child development certification, and extensive preschool teaching experience, I applied these skills to craft a unique program, enhancing support for mothers in different stages of motherhood. I am passionate about connecting a vibrant community of San Diego moms and building a support system we all can rely on.
