You Don't Have to Carry the Whole World
Over the past few weeks, I've noticed something in conversations with many of you, a kind of quiet tiredness. Not the kind that comes from a busy week or a tough workout, but the deeper kind that settles in when the world feels heavy.
There is so much information coming at us every day. News of conflict and uncertainty. The constant pull to stay informed, to care, and to understand what is happening beyond our own lives. We are empathetic people. We feel things deeply, and sometimes that awareness can lead to emotional fatigue.
It's a strange tension to hold, caring about the world while also knowing that most of what we are witnessing is beyond our control.
When that happens, it can help to remember something simple.
You are not required to carry the whole weight of the world in order to care about it.
It is enough to stay informed, stay compassionate, and stay anchored in your own life. To take care of your body. To show up for the people around you. To keep moving, breathing, cooking dinner, reading books, and having conversations with friends.
Small, ordinary acts of steadiness matter more than we often realize.
This community has always been a place where we come back to ourselves. Through movement, laughter, and quiet conversations before or after class. In uncertain times, those small rhythms become even more important.
If you are feeling tired lately, you're not alone. And there's nothing wrong with giving yourself a little more space to breathe, permission to be vulnerable and share, and to lean on each other as we navigate this life.
As always, thank you for being part of this community and for continuing to show up for yourselves and for each other.
With love, compassion, and gratitude,
Elease
