A New Chapter for MBDY

Hello friends,

I've wanted to reach out for a while, but I've been waiting until I could say it the right way.

Simply, thank you.

The messages, the notes, the sincere check-ins from so many of you after the studio closed were the support I needed to make it through the days that have been confusing and challenging. I have read every single one. Some of them I've read more than once. You were so very generous with your words, and I want you to know that your words mattered more than I can express.

I also want to be honest with you about where I've been since then. These weeks have not been difficult, but quiet and contemplative. The kind of state that only comes when something that held so much life and joy finally completes. I have been still. I have been thinking about you and our community, the women I had the privilege of moving alongside, and what it means to continue doing this work in a way that is worthy of what we've built together.

And I am ready to get back to that work and the mission of building our community to be connected, supportive, and accountable.

I am ready to begin teaching again: classes, pop-ups, workshops, and private in-home training for those who want that kind of personal, unhurried attention. I have found  small spaces to continue leading classes and guiding movement and dance.

I am building a wellness newsletter that delves deeper into the research and practices I believe matter most for women in all seasons of life. We will have our book club gatherings soon, a small member-only group.

We are quietly, carefully building something larger, a social and movement club for women, with a permanent home on the horizon. More on all of it soon.

I see you. I have been holding this community in my mind with genuine care. And I am more committed than ever to the work of helping women feel oriented in their bodies, in their lives, in one another's company. We will be in the same room again before long. Until then, thank you for staying close.

With love,
Elease
